After 25yrs working as an engineer in the manufacturing Industry I started to become unwell. It appeared I had developed heart & respiratory difficulties, so I was retired at 41.  I have always wanted to paint in oils, so this was a perfect opportunity to try.  Watching the wonderful Bob Ross on morning TV I had a dabble, and was amazed that I was getting such satisfying results.  

After a few more attempts, I joined the SAA (The Society Of All Artists) and through them found the Chiltern&District Art Club. Meeting like minded people opened up a whole new world to me with my first Art Club Exhibition in May 2005.  A month later, with the encouragement of club members I thought I would tackle a few Watercolours.  January 2006 saw the printing of a Watercolour I had painted of my horse 'DEXTA' in the Members Gallery of the SAA 'Paint' magazine.  If you like to paint, then I encourage you to join because you will find a new and interesting aspect to your life......I have !
